Stir Fry & You guys are awesome!

Cade and I made stir fry tonight!

His Grandma (Thanks, Grandma Karen! :) ) got us an electric wok and we LOVE IT! We decided tonight to put it to good use... Steak stir fry is probably the best use!

Here is what you need. (assume you are making this for two. If more, add more)

1 Green Bell Pepper
1 Sweet Red Pepper
1 Block of Tofu
1 Package of Bean Sprouts (unfortunately, we could not find any tonight so we had to go without. But trust me when I say - it is worth it to add.)
1 Zucchini
2 Steaks
Stir Fry Oil & Sauce
Soy Sauce
Stir Fry Noodles (but you can use rice, too!)

Here's how we made it!

We used our Electric Wok for this.. But before we owned one we always made this in a normal pan and it turned out great! -- Add the Stir Fry Oil.

These were all purchased at Giant Eagle, but I'm sure you can buy them anywhere. Totally worth the purchase though. It makes the stir fry mouth-watering.

"her" drink.

"his" drink.

When adding the steak; we put stir fry oil, classic sauce, and pepper.

Once the steak is cooked, throw in the veggies!

The tofu doesn't need as much time to cook. We usually put it in last!

(Don't these noodles look like brains?)^^

Look, you've made a delicious stir-fry! Good job!

ENJOY!!

This was so good! I'm catching up with these recipes too! I love that you guys are looking at my blog frequently. It makes it feel more exciting to post. So, thank you all!

Have a great weekend!

English Roast!

See, I told you I didn't forget about these recipes. I'll have to post two this week. No problem... (I think...)

I got a crock pot for Christmas and I really do wish that I could make every single meal in that thing. It's so simple and turns out so delicious!

For this recipe we made an English Roast with potatoes and carrots.

What you'll need:

An English Roast (Psst... Cade works at Giant Eagle and sometimes, if you're lucky, you can find them "Buy One Get One". That's what we do!)
Some Red Wine
Potatoes
Carrots
An Onion
Seasonings of your choice.

We used ^^ Ground nutmeg, Cayenne Pepper, Garlic Salt, Italian Seasoning, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, and Black Pepper. Before you put the roast in the crock pot, use these as a dry rub and let it set in the refrigerator for a few hours (or over night).

Poor the red wine in the bottom of the crock pot. Just enough to cover the bottom.

Take your marinated English Roast and put it in the crock pot with the wine.

We waited a couple of hours to add the veggies so the roast was already a little cooked.

And viola! We started cooking it probably around.. 9:00am and ate around 6:00pm. It was so tender! We actually pulled it apart with a wooden spoon... So perfect!

See what I mean? SO simple!! I can't wait to find more recipes this simple and delicious!

I'll be sure to let you know if I do!

My Trip to Dallas!

So, I went to Dallas early on Friday morning and I came back late on Sunday night. Short trip, but so much fun!! I always love spending time with my Aunt and the beautiful city and weather is a definite plus! Here are some pictures from my trip!
Oh gosh, the food. ^^ My first meal in Dallas was banana pancakes. SO good!
I ordered this pizza ^^ (white pizza with spinach, sun dried tomatos, green peppers, and sweet red peppers)
At this most beautiful restaurant. (Grimaldis. If you are ever in Dallas and want good pizza, go here!)
This salad would've been the most delicious Greek Salad if they didn't have PICKLED carrots in it that had onions in them. I mean, pickled carrots with onions shouldn't be in anything.

Most delicious Cabernet Sauvignon EVER! Loved this wine^

My wine buddy. I learned so much about wines this weekend! I think this would be an expensive hobby, but a great one!

MISTY! Such a well behaved, cute dog!

Dave & Busters night!

BRAGGING RIGHTS: I was in the middle of receiving 504 tickets when this picture was taken. Yeah, take that!

From left to right: Me, Aunt K, Casey, and Jessica. Also, did I mention this weather is 70 and sunny? Ohio, step your game up.

Thanks Dallas for the beautiful weather and beautiful City. Thanks Aunt K and Glenn for having Jess and I and showing us a great time. I can't wait to see all of this again soon.

P.S. I have a recipe that I've been meaning to post. I haven't forgotten about that! School and work and travel don't always leave people with a lot of down time!

Have a great week! :)

Ah crud. It's back to school already!

Welp, my "winter" break is over and it's time to start the work and school and work and school schedule back up!

Luckily, I have a job that gives me the weekends off and it just so happens that this particular weekend coming up I will be making my way to Dallas, TX! Here's to warmer weather and a little break from this "beginning of madness" semester.

Here's a few pictures to keep you all interested and I can't wait to show you all the pictures of my upcoming quick vacation getaway!

I know it's still January, but the warmer weather will be here one day... Right? I love snow, but I hate feeling cold!

Speaking of cold weather. It was 9 degrees when we took these pictures. NINE. As in one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, NINE. No where near 70!

I've always wanted to just stop somewhere while I'm driving and take a picture. A couple Sundays ago I finally did this. And it paid off. These pictures were lovely.

Cade and I made a roast one night for dinner in our crock pot and I still kind of don't believe that we made it. It was way too good. Maybe that will be my next recipe?

I love that moon! I took this when I got home from work this evening. It's starting to stay brighter a little longer, but the moon was definitely out on my drive home.

I'll try to post the recipe before Friday but in case I don't have time, have a great week and weekend! I can't wait to share my trip with you when I return!

A Foggy Night.

Did anyone else notice all of that fog yesterday? How could you not?! As soon as I got off work I went to the park with Cade to snap some pictures... It was dreary and a little creepy but also kind of beautiful. It definitely did not seem like Ohio weather and God knows we could all use a little break from the weather we've been getting lately.

Anyway, here are some pictures of the fog in case any one did somehow surprisingly miss it or if you just wanted to see some gloomy pictures. Enjoy!

Have a great weekend!
