a sunday well spent.

Recently, my brother (Gary), his girlfriend (Ashley) and two very good friends (Stephanie and Tyler) came up to Cleveland for a fun-filled day! Our original plan was to have breakfast at Townhall, then venture down to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Great Lakes Science Center. After that, if there were time left, we would go get a late lunch somewhere downtown. Sounds like a perfect, well-spent Sunday! Of course though, as things go, plans changed.

While having breakfast at TownHall, the food, drink and conversation was so good that we decided to extend the breakfast part of the day. We made our way to another little fun place, Nano Brew and continued our morning. By the time we were 100% done with the breakfast portion, we decided to ex-nay the Rock and Roll HOF and just head to the Great Lakes Science Center. We had a blast! Granted, the building was filled with children a quarter of our age doing the exact same things we were, but we managed.

Afterward, the day was still young so we were going to go to a pizza place downtown. We loaded in the Uber, got dropped off and OF COURSE, they're closed. Why, you ask? No clue. SO, on we went and we walked several blocks to go somewhere else. When I say that downtown Cleveland was a ghost town, I mean it. All businesses and restaurants were closed and there was not a soul in site. Apparently, everyone but us got the memo. Oh well. We hailed another Uber and headed to The Flats where we finally found a place to have lunch. We enjoyed some pizza and then headed back to Ohio City to have the one, the only Mitchell's Ice Cream. Our day ended there, but it was so much fun that I couldn't stop talking about it. I love when family/friends come to visit.

Here are some pictures that I managed to snap during our day. I'm riding this fine line of wanting to take pictures to remember the day, but also not having any distractions so I can enjoy the moment. While I endlessly try to figure out how to best handle that, you enjoy these photos... and a video!

Such a fun day and I really, really love when family and friends come to visit us. There is always SO much to do. Except for, you know, those random Sundays... where everything downtown just decides to close. We manage though :)
